Privacy Policy
This policy explains what information Pretel handles, why, and the choices you have. We keep it in plain language. If anything is unclear, email privacy@pretel.ai.
Who this is for
Pretel is a tool for teams. A company (the "customer") buys a licence and creates sites for its people. Your company controls its own data and decides who can access it. If you use Pretel through your employer, their agreement with us and their own policies also apply.
What we handle
- Account details — the username, name, and role your admin sets up for you.
- Call audio — while you're listening on a call, audio is processed to create a live transcript and suggestions. It is used to give you help in the moment, not to build a profile of you.
- Knowledge you upload — the calls, notes, and documents your team adds to a site, so suggestions can be grounded in your own material.
- Basic usage logs — the minimum needed to run the service reliably and securely (for example, error and rate-limit records).
How it's kept separate
Each site's information is isolated. What one site uploads is only ever used for that site's suggestions. One site — and one company — can never see another's data.
How we use it
Only to provide the service: transcribe the call, retrieve your team's relevant knowledge, and produce the next best thing to say. We do not sell your data, and we do not use your calls or uploaded content to train general AI models.
Where it lives and how it's protected
Data is encrypted in transit and at rest. Enterprise customers can run Pretel in their own private cloud, so their call data and knowledge base never leave their environment. Our controls are independently audited (SOC 2 Type II).
Sub-processors
To transcribe audio and generate suggestions, audio and text are sent securely to our AI provider for processing and are not retained by them to train their models. We use a small, vetted set of infrastructure providers; the current list is available on request.
Keeping and deleting data
Your company chooses how long to keep its knowledge base, and can delete it at any time. When a person is removed from a site, their access ends immediately. When a company ends its licence, its data is deleted on request.
Your choices
You can ask to access, correct, or delete your personal information. Because your company administers Pretel, please start with your admin; you can also contact us at privacy@pretel.ai and we'll help.
Changes
If we update this policy, we'll post the new version here and change the date above.
